Best Restaurants and things to do in Albuquerque?
I am going to Albuquerque, New mexico on Oct 11-15. I know the balloon festival will be on during that time, but what else is good to do in that area? Restaurants? Sites to see? etc.... Thanks!

- You have to stop and get some Roasted Chiles and Mountain Apples at some point during the trip. Head over to Roswell and check out the Alien Museums and go to Almagorda (can't remember how its spelled) the view of the mountains will knock your socks off. If you like to gamble, stop by Inn of the Gods, if you like Museums, check out the horse one.
- well, yes the balloon fiesta is up and of course, you should check that out. You could go to the Tram up sandia mountian (which is always fun) or go to the Oldtown (bring your wallet- they have lots of cool shops there). Venerizia's Pizza. The BEST pizza and pasta EVER. (yummy) Try going on a hike or drive up Sandia. They're pretty cool. Great views at night. The zoo has lots of cool animals, and they have a lot of hands-on stuff. Well, have a great trip. : )
- Where are you coming from? Will you have children with you? That would make a difference in what you decide to do I think. One possiblity would be to take a day to go up to downtown Santa Fe. Just to soak in the "Santa Fe-ness". Wed, 10/11 MC Chris @ The Launchpad The Museums and shops in Old Town might interest you. Go Downtown at night if you're into that night club thing. Go to Nob Hill if you're not really into that night club thing. Restaurants that tourists like: El Pinto - Garduño's - Scalos - Zinc Check out some of the local Wineries. Make friends with some of the balloonists and hang out with them at night. They usually party pretty good. Maybe even try and arrange to be on a chase crew, balloonists always need the help.
