My project has to have a paragraph that will focus on the business's use of technology and the types of business documents/procedures they use technology to manage. And the technology that will help to support the business. THanks!
How do you see technology in the future? Technology has played a big part in our lives, from helping us with work to improving gadgets to the later and better quality. Robots have also been part of the technology industry, helping out with various jobs. So, what do you think technology will have in store for us 100 years from now?
How has the emergence of technology in the last two decades affected our use of the English language? Does anyone think language in general has worsened or improved as time has gone by? Are standards of written and spoken language in decline and is the purity of the English language getting more distorted through the impact of technology? Perhaps technology has aided the development of English or there may not be any relationship between the growth of technology and language at all! Open floor, I'm in search of all sorts of opinions!
What technology shows hidden bodily fluids in a room? On the "Monk" episode, "Mr. Monk Takes a Vacation," a crime scene detective uses some kind of machine that makes all sort of bodily fluids show up around the hotel room, which of course completely freaks Mr. Monk out. What kind of technology is this and how does it work? I've seen black lights advertised to show up hidden pet urine, but I tried it and it didn't work--maybe because it was on wooden floors and brick instead of carpet. Thanks for the info.
Which technology is fastest to develop an online dictionary? I'm planning to develop an online dictionary of my native language to English. There will be approximately 40,000 words. How do you think which technology is efficient to use in terms of speed? I have 2 choices, PHP+MySQL or ASP.NET+MSSQL. As I said above, the main criteria is web-site should be fast. Thanks in advance.
What technology is being developed to reduce the need for lethal weapons? Would you like to live in a place where dangerous weapons are only used for defense by the military and for recreation by civilians. Obviously some guns will be necessary to keep things even but I feel that little progress is being made in non-lethal defense technology. I don't care if someone is considered a bad person; they still deserve a chance to live. There are not enough people that value life, so they ignore death and destruction and try to justify reckless attacks.
What technology was invented in the 21st century? I need to know the name of the inventor and the invention and the date/year that it was created. It has to be technology. If you know who created the ipod, or blueray, or anything tech. Please let me know! Thanks!

What positive effects will technology have on our future? When I say technology, I mean things like: Smartphones (able to navigate you to an open parking spot or let you know where traffic is), autonomous vehicles (the driverless cars which particiapted in a 102 mile race completely driven off of its own decisions), and any other piece of technology that may relate to the previous examples.
What is a music technology degree and what sort of job would one obtain with it? I'm working on a bachelors in viola performance from the New England Conservatory, but I have no idea what a music technology degree entails, however it sounds interesting for graduate study because I'm interested in technology as well as music...any information would be appreciated, I'm trying to research it...thanks!

How do I get started in information technology? I'm in grade 12 and I want to know what education I need to get into an IT career. I live in Toronto, Canada and there are only 2 Universities (outside the city) that offer a Bachelor of Information Technology. There are three colleges in my area that offer diplomas for Systems Technology, Systems Technician, Information Systems Business Analyst, and Networking. Is it better to get a diploma from college or a degree to get started in information technology? Is there any other way of starting an IT career?

Where can I purchase the widget technology for my beer production factory? I want to add widgets to canned beer that my factory is producing. I have looked on the internet but have not found any detailed technical information about this technology. Is it like a radar type deal thing? I can't hardly imagine that it is a very advance technology. In fact I'm pretty sure it is somewhat simple and cheap. How is it called? How such device is called?
How fast will technology change 50 years from now? In 1957 they didn't have cell phones, personal computers, Ipods, Navigation Systems in cars. With all the growing technology, devices and such. What would this world be in another 50 years and so on? And lets be realistic!
What if technology was completely different? I was just wondering what if technology was completely different from how it is today. Not based off of electricity to send information but hell something like water. I have a hard time thinking about this because Im so immersed and familiar in the technology we already have, so its hard to imagine. Its like asking, what would technology be like on an alien planet without electricity? Sort of. Its all just speculation but please give me something feasible that I can imagine. And no this has nothing to do with the environment and the "going green" movement
How can technology help you save money during tough times? Given the state of the world's economy, people are looking to reduce costs any way they can. While technology may seem like an expense (in terms of buying computers and peripherals or mobile phones), there are actually many ways in which using technology can help you save -- for example, using a webcam instead of a landline phone. How do you think technology can help you reduce costs during this recession? Thanks to everyone for their excellent suggestions on how to save money by embracing technology. While I was pleasantly surprised at the large number of answers, I recognize the global economy is top-of-mind for many and these responses offered many clever ways to take the pressure off your wallet. A thrifty mother, Jennifer H, offered some great tips like saving money by visiting online coupon sites (and shared a few of her favourite Canadian ones). In some cases you can print out the coupons, but to save money on ink and paper, many will mail coupons to your home based on what products you buy. She also talked about using the PC to chat with friends and family around the world, including live video chats via an inexpensive webcam and free instant messaging software such as Yahoo! Instant Messenger or Skype, instead of paying long distance telephone rates. Not only is IM & email faster than mailing a letter or photos, but Jennifer adds an eco-friendly reason: it wastes paper. While wrapping up, Jennifer says she felt having both a landline and mobile phone was both costly and redundant, and so she has decided to cancel the former in order to save money during these tough times. This is becoming a popular trend in Canada (anecdotally, I haven’t used my landline in ages). Thank you again for all the great answers I received on this question! - Marc Saltzman
How can I hear about new technology before other people? How can I learn about new technology terms before the general public? FIOS, for examples is becoming a new popular term, but how could I have learned about it many years ago? Is there a positive technological digest that someone can recommend me to which focuses on BRAND new technology?
How is the technology of the Guinness Surger unit superior? I've just become aware of this gadget. The technology is said to create the creamy white head that draught Guinness is famous for, but the Rocket Widget contained in Guinness Draught bottles and cans already covers that, and is certainly more convenient. What am I missing?
What new technology would be a good topic for my ninth grade technology class? It has to be an "emerging technology" meaning new. It can't be more than three years old. As in, a phone is not an emerging technology. The Iphone is. I'd like something with enough information to do an oral report and written report on it. Currently on my list, meaning don't suggest them, are projectable keyboards, the aptera, the iphone, and a computer currently being devloped with microsoft that "reads brain waves". Thanks! Do you not ge tit? A phone is not new; the iphone is. A tv is not new, a plasma screen tv is.
Is there any technology that would allow coal miners to communicate with persons above ground? Is there any technology on the market that would allow coal miners that are up to 1,800 ft below the surface to communicate with persons above ground? 1800 feet = 0.3409091 miles. Jessica, I'm so very sorry about your dad. My prayers are with the men trapped in the Utah mine. I was hoping that for safety reasons, coal miners would be required to carry with them a communications device so that they could talk with people above ground if there was an emergency. But I don't know if there is a 2-way radio that would transmit from deep in a mine to above the ground. I saw the phones in a mine on the news, but when there is a collapse or other problems, the men can't always reach a phone. I just think there needs to be something other than a phone to communicate with.

What is the future of portable media technology? I am considering purchasing a Sansa portable mp3 player, mainly so I can use Real's Rhapsody on the go. However I was curious as to whether there were to be any new "breakthroughs" in portable media technology soon (besides larger storage space). If so, I would hold off buying and wait for the new technology.
How will artificial womb technology affect the abortion debate? An artificial womb would be device that can turn an embryo into a human baby without the use of a human female. If a female falls pregnant, she can elect to go through with the pregnancy or have the embryo extracted from her uterus and placed in an artificial womb. A third option is the option that females have now and that is to simply destroy the embryo. But if we had the technology to give the embryo life without forcing a female to go through pregnancy and child birth, what would this make a decision to destroy embryo?
What would be a good pick for a project discussing how any one technology impacts a specific country? I'm just having trouble picking one that is interesting and that ALSO has enough solid sources to rely on. We need to provide: brief history of technology and country, impact the technology had on the country, and the moral/ethical issues of the technology and how the country deals with it. I'm perfectly fine with everything asked of me, I just can't find a good topic (technology/country)! Any suggestions and ideas would be appreciated!
What relationship exists between technology and scientific innovation? Advances in cell theory were totally dependent on the invention of the microscope. While there was indirect evidence for cells, we needed an apparatus to view them. It is likely that someone else would have invented the microscope later, but the advances in cell theory would have only come after this invention. What relationship exists between technology and scientific innovation?
What technology is involved in dog breeding? I need to know what kinds of technology are used when breeding dogs. Many topics imply that technology is used, but never give a full description. Perhaps someone here knows something of the industry and can help me? I should explain - I don't mean small time dog breeding. I mean professional, top-of-the-line dog breeding. Thanks to everyone who has answered my question; just to be super-specific (I need to make sure I have all the details) what kind of machine is used for health screenings?
What kind of touchscreen technology is behind touchscreens that only register presses with a stylus? These kind of touchscreen kiosks are at just about every supermarket now-- when you pay for your purchase with a debit card for instance, you must make selections as to "cash back" and "correct total," in addition to inputting your PIN number. These screens have never worked for me by simply pressing them with my fingers. I always have to pick up and use the rubber-tipped stylus. What is the technology driving this type of touchscreen interface?
How will technology create a problem for the US in the future? will our obessesion with technology and our fast pace life lead to the down fall of the United States? Its an odd question but today in my history class we talked about how the great empires or countires in history have never lasted. So i was wandering if the United States could ever fall and if yes why?
What is the role of technology in design and media art? Hi there I am trying to apply to school, and am a little confused as to what program I want to apply to, there are schools that are more fine arts based, and ones that are more technologically based. So I curious to know what role technology plays in the design and media art field? If you could please be as specific as possible I would love it. Or if you have a link that could help explain some stuff I would appreciate that too. Thanks so much. I hope you can help me figure out where to go from here.
Is there such a career that combines business and information technology? I really love technology and am currently pursuing a degree in information technology. However, I also love studying and learning more about economics, investing, finance and business in general. Is there such a career that would allow me to have the best of both worlds? I'd like to be involved in both technology and the daily financial management of a corporation or even be a part of the world of investing?
